SUNANDBASS Recordings proudly presents its next release, welcoming back old friends of the label: Triad with their new single, Heads or Tails / Love Thyself.
This release marks not only a return to the label, but also a reunion of Triad. Closely tied to the early foundations of SUNANDBASS in Sardinia, Triad first made their mark over 15 years ago with a series of releases across various labels. After last appearing on the 10 Years Selection album in 2013, the duo went on a hiatus from drum & bass for more than a decade, exploring and evolving through other genres and projects. This new single signals the beginning of an exciting new chapter.
Blending a wide range of influences from across electronic music, Triad brings a refined and multifaceted sound that feels both timeless and progressive.
On the A-side, Heads or Tails is an introspective yet driving track that balances light and dark elements. It opens with a long, evolving intro of rich synth textures before dropping into a powerful, bass-driven groove built for the dancefloor. Soulful breakdowns, hypnotic vocal chops, and a fusion of drum & bass energy with techno and house textures come together to create a bold, forward-looking anthem, perfectly suited for late-night sessions in the gazebo at Ambra Night.
On the B-side, Love Thyself leans into a deeper, dub-influenced atmosphere. Washed-out pads and spacious textures give it a dub techno feel, while a rolling low-end and steady groove guide it firmly toward the dancefloor. Signature Triad basslines and layered synths, arrangements gradually progressing, building a sense of depth and movement. Rich in atmosphere and driven by subtly dubbed-out drums, the track captures a timeless quality, equally at home in sunrise sessions or deep, immersive sets in the club.
