SUNANDBASS Recordings proudly presents its next release on the label: The Soul Marauders EP
from T.R.A.C. & Zar. This 4-track project showcases the duo’s shared love and influence of Hip Hop
and RnB. Over the past few years, T.R.A.C. and Zar have been collaborating on music, and this EP
stands as a true testament to their musical chemistry, sparked when they first met while performing
in Sardinia. Each track brings a unique vibe and energy, setting a vibrant tone for the summer
ahead.
The opening track, Plans, is heavily inspired by the classic Native Tongues sound from New York in
the late ’90s — an ode to A Tribe Called Quest that sets the tone for the entire project. Next comes
Like a Geenie, featuring the soulful vocals of the incredible Collette Warren. Playful and heartfelt,
the track takes the listener on a fun, soulful journey.Into This follows, featuring rising star Luke
Truth. It dives deep into early RnB influences and delivers a rich, emotional sound that complements
the EP’s themes.Closing the project is Artful Ride, a jazz-infused piece that transports the listener
to the warm ambience of an old jazz bar, where T.R.A.C. reflects on his journey — a glass of whisky
in hand.
