SHARED SPACE

SUNANDBASS exists because people choose to share time, attention, and space with care.

This is a shared environment — not a service being consumed. Each year we travel from all over the world to San Teodoro to spend 8 nights celebrating drum and bass in one of the most beautiful places on Earth. The venues, apartments, beaches, restaurants and shops are woven into the fabric of what SUNANDBASS is, and as a guest there, it is our responsibility to care for the people and places that have welcomed us.

Buying a ticket means choosing to take part in that responsibility.

Respect is non-negotiable

  • Racism, discrimination, harassment, or aggression have no place here.
  • Neither does behaviour that makes others feel unsafe or unwelcome.
  • Unwanted physical contact, verbal intimidation, or persistent disregard for boundaries will lead to intervention.

Self-awareness first

  • Awareness doesn’t start with a team or a badge.
  • It starts with knowing your limits, looking out for your friends, and paying attention to others.
  • Apologise when you bump into someone.
  • Don’t push through crowds without care.
  • Leave places — and people — better than you found them.

Substances and responsibility

  • This space isn’t built around excess.
  • Overconsumption doesn’t stay personal — it affects others and the environment around us.
  • Know your body.
  • Know your surroundings.
  • Take responsibility for the impact of your choices.

Care for place and people

  • We are guests — in a town, on beaches, and in shared venues.
  • Respect staff, locals, and each other.
  • Dispose of waste properly.
  • Treat shared facilities with care.
  • This place exists year-round, not just for one week.

If something isn’t right

  • Crew members are visible and approachable throughout the week.
  • If something feels off, speak to staff or the front desk early.
  • Issues are easier to address when raised directly and in time.

Shared responsibility

  • SUNANDBASS works because most people act with consideration most of the time.
  • Buying a ticket means choosing to take part in that responsibility.
  • If that feels aligned, the space holds together.
  • If not, this may not be the right environment.
