The Label

SUNANDBASS Recordings was founded in 2011 as a natural extension of SUNANDBASS, the week-long drum and bass holiday that we have been hosting since 2004, bringing artists and music lovers together each year in San Teodoro, Sardinia.

The label began when SUNANDBASS co-founder, art director and long-time DJ Delicat yearned to start a label that could capture the sound and spirit of the festival beyond the week on the island. When their close friend Marcus Intalex heard about the idea, he encouraged them to begin and contributed music to the very first compilation.

From the start, the goal was to document and nurture the community that had grown around the event. The artists involved were people already connected to SUNANDBASS through friendship, shared history and a deep love for the music.

Over the years, the catalogue has featured contributions from artists such as ArpXP, Calibre, S.P.Y, Nu:Tone, Dom & Roland, dBridge, Klute, A Sides, FD, Mark System, Satl, Fava, the late Marcus Intalex and MC Fats, alongside newer voices including Trex, Triad, BCee, T.R.A.C., Zar, Napes, Sydney Bryce and Fonts.

More than a traditional imprint, SUNANDBASS Recordings reflects the full spectrum of drum & bass that defines the festival itself, from deep and intimate club sessions to soulful selections played on the soft sands of La Cinta beach.

Today, the label continues to grow as a year-round extension of the SUNANDBASS community which remains rooted in the same simple idea it started with: keeping the sound and spirit of the community alive far beyond the island.

Latest Release

SUNANDBASS Recordings proudly presents its next release, welcoming back old friends of the label: Triad with their new single, Heads or Tails / Love Thyself.

This release marks not only a return to the label, but also a reunion of Triad. Closely tied to the early foundations of SUNANDBASS in Sardinia, Triad first made their mark over 15 years ago with a series of releases across various labels. After last appearing on the 10 Years Selection album in 2013, the duo went on a hiatus from drum & bass for more than a decade, exploring and evolving through other genres and projects. This new single signals the beginning of an exciting new chapter.

Blending a wide range of influences from across electronic music, Triad brings a refined and multifaceted sound that feels both timeless and progressive.
